$250,000 Super High Roller event at the Aussie Millions

Home to the southern hemisphere biggest tournament, the Crown Casino of Melbourne is set to host the 15th Australian Poker Championship, in January 2012. Among one of the most popular events in the poker world the tourney dubbed the Aussie Millions which gathers from around the gold to that single spot which is near to becoming a myth.

Apart from the main event, the Aussie Millions is also home to High Stakes event where the best and most wealthy players on the planet struggle to win this priceless or should I say this pricy title. Last year’s Aussie Millions tournament gave way to the inaugural Super High Roller event which is considered the highest Super High Roller event with a buy-in of $250,000.

Last’s year event saw 20 players fight for the title including the cream of the cream in the poker world with the likes of Phil Ivey, which is undoubtedly the most talented poker player of his generation, Chris Ferguson, one of the brains in the poker world who holds a Ph. D in computer science and Tom Dawn one of the most fearsome young players of the past few years.

Other prestigious names that took part in the tourney were Erik Seidel, John Juanda, David Benyamine and Annette Obrestad. The 2011 Super High Roller title event was awarded to Erik Seidel, who bagged a $2.5 million first prize.

Currently various online poker rooms are offering satellites towards winning a package including the entry fee for the $10,600 Main Event, such as Betfred, Virgin Poker, 888 Poker and Bet365 with buy-ins as low as $1 giving the opportunity to poker players worldwide of winning a life changing money prize.
